Give、take、bring
Ask, and it will be given you(你只要請求,就會得到)這一句,是不是應改為will be given to you?
根據文法,give一字作主動語態(active voice),有to give something to someone或to give someone something兩個句式;作被動語態(passive voice),則有something was given to someone或someone was given something兩個句式。那位讀者顯然因此而覺得it will be given to you才是正確說法。
例如to give something to someone這句式,那something假如是代名詞it,而那someone假如也是代名詞,則to字可以略去,例如:Give it (to) him(給他吧)。
此外,something was given to someone這句式,那someone假如是代名詞,則那to字也可以略去,例如:The book was given (to) him(那本書給了他)。
問:以下兩句,那個選擇正確?──I took / brought the children to Ocean Park(我帶孩子去海洋公園)。
(1)Bring the child to my house(把孩子帶來我家)。(2)Take the child to the cinema(帶孩子去看電影吧)。
